Procedure of the Project Encouragement Protocols (First Published on February 22, 2011):

  • Project Encouragement protocols can be requested individually by the Students OR suggested Institutionally
  • Universally accepted Ethical Principles/Considerations will be adhered to at all stages of the Project Encouragement Protocols.
  • NO Harassment of any kind (whether it be physical, psychological, financial, sexual or any other type) will be endorsed in any stage of the Project Encouragement Protocol.
  • If it is a request that has originated individually, kindly meet Prof. Dr. A. Prabhu Britto, Dean (Research & Development) at his Office and have a brief introductionary conversation regarding Projects, thereby initiating the Project Encouragement Protocols.
    • The main aim of Individual Project Encouragement Protocols is to train the student in pursuing good technical projects. 
    • Projects done through Individual Project Encouragement Protocols should not be submitted to fufill academic requirements (as dissertation for the completion of the Undergraduate or Graduate Degree Program). 
    • Project team can be chosen by the students themselves, adhering to universally accepted ethical principles of equal opportunity, non-discrimination of gender and treating all students fairly without regard to race, religion or any other type of discrimination.
  • If it is an Institutional procedure, the Project Encouragement Protocol will initiate with a letter sent by email (scanned copy of letter from appropriate Institutional Authority, bearing suitable reference number, date, signature & Official Seal), copied to the relevant student who will pursue the Institutional Project Encouragement Protocol.
    • The main aim of Institutional Project Encouragement Protocols is to train institutionally identified students to pursue good technical projects, within the scope of Institutional Guidelines for Project Guidance (relevant at that time).
    • Projects done through Individual Project Encouragement Protocols is meant to be submitted to fulfill academic requirements (as dissertation for the completion of the Undergraduate or Graduate Degree Program).
    • Project team will be allotted/chosen as per Institutional Guidelines advised.
  • Project Teams will be obliged to create the following Presentations on Project Details and Project Log and Literature Survey(to be updated by the respect Teams on a regular basis) in docs.google.com as specified below.
    • Further, to ensure Transparency, the Teams will also be provided with a login and password (or authorize existing gmail logins of any one Member in every team) to update data online forms.
    • Project Details Form: Date and Time of Entry will be autogenerated by the System, and Data corresponding to the Project Details will be entered by the respect teams. Remarks, if any will be entered by the Dean (Research & Development). 
    • Project Log FormDate and Time of Entry will be autogenerated by the System, and Data corresponding to the Project Log will be entered by the respect teams. Remarks, if any will be entered by the Dean (Research & Development)
    • Literature Survey FormDate and Time of Entry will be autogenerated by the System, and Data corresponding to the Literature Survey will be entered by the respect teams. Remarks, if any will be entered by the Dean (Research & Development)
  • Project Details alone will be publicly displayed online as a database, while the Project Log and Literature Survey Data will be provided only on genuine request/interest.
  • If Other Institutions/Universities require help in Project Encouragement Protocols, they may kindly communicate via proper channel to dean@vmkvresearch.org, CC'ed to britto@prabhubritto.org
    • Other Universities/Institutions can also utilize the same/modified procedures as outlined on this website for Project Encouragement.  
    • However as per Universally Accepted Ethical Principles, those Universities/Institutions are required to acknowledge this webpage and cite its url in their systems/procedures if they utilize the same/modified procedures as outlined on this website for Research Encouragement and send an official acknowledgement (as scanned jpg or pdf file) by email to dean@vmkvresearch.org, CC'ed to britto@prabhubritto.org

  • Based on request, the Project Details data, Project Log data and Literature Survey data will be provided as pdf format files by email to the requesting Company/Agency/Individual.
  • If it is a Confidential Request, the Company/Agency/Individual is requested to indicate Confidentiality in their request, else the concerned Team/Member will be CC'ed a copy of the reports sent to the Company/Agency/Individual.
